The 2024-25 Young Artist Competition is now closed to applications. Auditions will be in-person in Pasadena, on January 25, 2025. We are excited to invite the public to attend the auditions for the first time. You can find details on the event on the Events Page.
We plan to begin accepting applications for the 2025-2026 Young Artist Competition in the fall of 2025. Stay tuned!
Each year we offer these opportunities for talented young musicians to demonstrate their skill and artistry through the audition process, and for each winner, a cash prize and a performance as soloist with the Pasadena Community Orchestra. The Competition features a Junior Division and an Open Division:
- Junior Division for performers from 12 through 16 years of age. Application deadline (with video submittal): January 18, 2025
- Open Division for performers from 14 through 24 years of age. Application deadline: January 18, 2025
The Junior Division winner will receive a $500 cash prize and perform with the Orchestra at the March 14, 2025 concert. The Open Division winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize and perform with the Orchestra at the May 9, 2025 concert.
