Update: January 16. Will the concert in Sierra Madre will proceed, given the devastation from the Eaton Fire? The good news: yes, the concert will proceed as planned. The bad news: a few orchestra members lost their homes in the fire. PCO concerts are always free admission, but we always accept donations. So for this concert, all donations received will be distributed to orchestra members who have lost their homes in the Eaton Canyon fire. Hope to see you there!
The Orchestra’s 42nd season continues on January 24 with music by Mozart, Khachaturian, and Ravel. You may recognize the gorgeous theme by Khachaturian. For the Mozart Vespers, the Orchestra is joined by the Glendale College Concert Singers and soloists under their Director, Peter Green. And Ravel’s Bolero – well, if you have not heard it before, this will leave quite an impression! Come to the pre-Concert discussion at 7:15pm to learn more about the music. Concerts are held at the beautiful First Church of the Nazarene of Pasadena. Our concerts are always free admission, and there is plenty of free parking.
