Building upon our current season of chamber music offerings, PCO is presenting this concert of works for string ensemble. Meeting in the backyard of a Pasadena home, these musicians are excited to play together as a group for the first time in more than a year.
The Scarlatti is a multi-movement, continuous set of pieces. The Warlock is based on Renaissance dances (with some modern twists). And the Mendelssohn is one of his earliest compositions for strings, yet has musical insight and depth. All of the works feature wonderful melodies and have been great fun to put together for you to enjoy.
This concert and all previous video concerts remain available anytime after the premiere date on the Pasadena Community Orchestra YouTube channel.
